I just watched "Coco" (Since it already premiered in Mexico) and it is an amazing beautiful movie.
And no, it has nothing to do with "The Book Of Life", (If you do your research, you will find out it started production way before The Book Of Life premiered) I even dare to say it is better, because it captures more the spirit, sense and richness of Dia De Muertos and the mexican culture. They even captioned how Abuelitas react to several situations perfectly.

You really have to trust me as a Mexican and give it a chance.
Bravo Coco!

To the ones that are going to say: This is exactly like The Book of Life, it isn't, I have already watched it. They're completely different movies, stories, characters and the only similar thing is that they're based on El dia de muertos

it is the most beautiful film Pixar has created. It is just beautiful to look at, the message about the importance of the family is so moving, but the most important fact about Coco is that the whole context of the film is relevant in these moments of political and social discrimination between diferent cultures. This is a film about unity, brotherhood and the pursuit of your dreams. Thanks for this beautiful homage to Mexico.

Lol stop comparing the Book of Life to an amazing Pixar film. It’s Pixar. PIXAR. It’s like when people try to compare Zootopia( Disney not Pixar) to Sing and A Bugs’s life to Antz. Just because it has a lot of elements from the Book of Life being the culture and what not, it doesn’t mean Pixar “stole ideas “. Lol it’s PIXAR, they don’t need to copy anyone just look at heir content . They’ve had this idea of years, just because it’s coming out now doesn’t mean they got it from somewhere else. Regardless it’s going to be better anyway because Disney/ Pixar are the best.

You guys don't understand, this isn't about a "history that's been portrayed before", is about the tradition of Día de muertos, of course is similar to the book of life or whatever, cause is about the same thing! But what's so great about this one is that they are showing representation about the traditions of Mexico! Is showing how beautiful it is. By this large company, Pixar, is giving Mexico the chance to spread the knowledge about us, Mexicans, is showing this beautiful side of our culture. Is amazing. As someone who has seen it(it's already out in Mexico) I can tell you that is portraits the celebration so beautifully. So I'm thankful, stop comparing it and enjoy, i can tell you that here in Mexico, we appreciate it a lot cause people around the world can see how beautiful our culture truly is.
