This movie look like an 'ordinary' thriller but I can tell you it's not.
The ending really makes you think. Everything is not what it seems, it's kind of a weird movie tbh.
The trailer just doesn't do it any justice and makes it seem like a completely different movie.

You know its one of them strange movies. Like Drive, Hannah, Spring breakers etc... You see the trailer and say "ok, action movie, lets watch it!" And then it turns out to be a way deeper experience. 10/10 gonna watch it again

This looks like the film I have been waiting for for ever. Brutal ex-military dad goes ballistic on child trafficking ring. Even better that the cops are in on it too. Such a great concept for a movie, with a terrifyingly realistic theme for people to start thinking about in this day and age. I live in Portland, OR where we are the number one place in America for child trafficking specifically, unless that has changed recently. It's scary because no one even talks about it, it's such an invisible issue even though it's so predominant here. I hope more people start to realize how real and organized modern day human trafficking can be. It is the most horrific crime I could think of.

This film was released a few months ago in Europe, and let me just say it was easily the best film I saw last year. The trailer implies there’s more action than there actually is, but it’s a beautiful, violent poem of a film.

And it’s short. In a world filled with overstuffed 3 hour action movies, finally something that gets to the point.

SLOW!! everyone mumbles so bad! You have to watch it with subtitles on because the audio is so awful. Nothing is ever explained. Thumbs down.

Atleast better than all the marvel films where folks get into a shootout and fights (without blood) and their make up and hair still on point 🙄 but tbh i like marvel films too💩😄 but it shoulsnt outshine artcinema stuff

This movie is great! Phoenix is the greatest living actor in my opinion and like always he enhances the film and makes you really feel. I honestly love when he's in a new film and I see all of his work, only actor I can say always hits the mark.

I want to see t but I'm sick of these crtiics overrating movies.... stop comparing new moves to classics and/or calling anythng that's indy and good a 'masterpiece'. If the movie is as good as you claim.... it wlll get that type o recognition over time.... Taxi Driver wasn't considered a classic when it first came out.....

I'm obviously not qualified to comment on the significance of 30 second stares into the middle distance, and super slow head turns/rises, but playing this movie at twice the speed makes it almost watchable.
I believe the counting backwards is an effort to convey to the viewer that this, almost slow motion flick, really just had to run for a specified amount of time, and "we were all hoping for it to end soon".

btw Looking forward to comments on my "'I'm obviously not qualified to comment" comment.
Always fun.

Great movie, but disturbing as hell. I have to turn my head away in some scenes. But who knows maybe Lynne Ramsay in her not very long film had more important things to say about and against sexual (and not only sexual) abuse of children and women than the sometimes caricatural #MeToo movement in it's tweets...

This is the most pretentious and try hard artsy movie I have ever seen, even the action scenes look like something my friends and I filmed when we were in middle school!
