"When I lost her, I lost sight of any landmark that might have led me some place happier." Such a devastatingly sad, beautifully written line.

The loss of you mother, at any age, is life changing. The moment my Mom passed, 5 years ago, it felt like something was ripped out of me, like a spiritual umbilical cord, leaving a void, which still hurts.

Heard so many bad reviews. So I decided to go watch it for myself. It was brilliant, from the acting all the way down to every bit of carefully crafted cinematography.

Just saw this movie, it was a beautiful rendition of the novel, don't be discouraged by critics. "To lose something that was meant to be immortal" was a very powerful scene

I bought the book on a train station and started reading it on my way to a funeral of a friend, who had also been taken too young, too violently. I cried while reading it and I almost cried while watching this trailer. Back when I bought the book I couldn't have known how much it would reflect on my feelings I had during that time. The book is deeply psychological and depicts grief, guilt and morality in an incredibly complex and realistic way. To be honest I don't have too many hopes that the movie will live up to Donna Tartt's masterpiece . But the cast and the cinematography of the trialer seem promising. Read the book, people. It's truly beautiful.

I dread and look forward to the opening of the movie in the same time.
