Ward: "Someone really wanted our initials to spell out Shield."
Coulson: walks out of the shadows "The hilarious part is, we only noticed a few years back. Wouldn't believe the look Pepper Pots gave me when I introduced myself."

anyone else notices that shield and buffy started out the same way...they were both cheesy and episodic and critics kind of looked down on them...but like buffy agents of shield has grown into a respected show with amazing characters and plots....I think its Whedon separating the weak and true fans....true fans stick with it through the unbearably cheesy lol and now we have the show we all want

Seeing some of the comments, I can tell that not a lot of people commenting are aware of how Whedon writes-- most of his works start slow... even mediocre, but they slowly build up to become fantastic.

When this first came out, I was like meh, maybe I will watch it one day.
I started watching it this week and I'm at the end of Season 2 and I have to say that I love it! It has its occasional tie-ins with the movies but still works extremely well on its own plot. And it's not repetitive due to its own theme. I'd really like to see Phil Coulson in the Marvel movies again plus the new characters from this series (I hope they will use them in 'Inhhumans'). Thanks to the series format we were able to see so much character development and it made me fall in love with the characters.

7 months ago I wrote how badly this tv series was going to be and got a lot of thumbs down.

Apparently speaking the truth caused Marvel fans to get all butt hurt.

So, how's that Joss Whedon show doing, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fans?

From varieties of enemies to HYDRA to Inhumans to Evil Inhumans to more HYDRA to Watchdogs to LMDs to Ghost Rider to Immortal Inhumans to being in space... yeah SHIELD is crazy but freakin phenomenal at this point!

They have actors from the Avengers movies star in the show? That's a great idea if the stories are parallel too. So far they're doing pretty good with Thor, Captain America, Iron Man and even Hulk (although they should make another movie in which Bruce Banner takes full control of the monster), they're all consistent with each other and with the Avengers movie. If the TV show is consistent too we could be looking at a very long series of movies and a longlasting TV show.

I wonder why everyone say that this is a really bad show, I am a HUGE fan of everything marvel and I love this show. If you're a Marvel fan, and you don't watch this show, you're probably not going to know how agent coulson is alive in avengers 2. This show keeps getting better and better each episode and I think everyone who's a marvel fan should watch it

I admit, this show was pretty weak in the beginning. I was bored and nearly stopped watching. But holy CRAP, was there major payoff for viewers who stuck around in the second half of the season. It just started to get better and better and with the Winter Soldier crossover, it practically exploded. Now I can't wait for Season 2!
