I don't understand why this had to be Archie characters, it just looks like another teen drama like TVD/PLL. If someone had never read the comics they would just think its a murder mystery with loads of sex which is the complete opposite of the original characters. It would have been way better as a comedy and actually covered stories from the comic books...

It wouldn't be a CW show without overly attractive 20 somethings, drama, love triangles and forced romance, pretty boy with hero-like hair do, betrayal, and an obligatory party because why not!

I will probably watch the first episode and give it a try Shrugs

I was laughing the whole damn time. All the names could be changed and it would be any other teen drama/CW show. Archie should've been a teen comedy.

If you're going to change everything about it, then why adapt the comic book in the first place?

Everyone is so disappointed and talking crap about the series when I thought it was really good, like I know the comics are more funny and light and this is more dark and sexual, but I'm not disappointed, I think CW did a great job. Just my opinion 🤷🏼‍♀️.

I love how their trying to make the focus on Archie, but they have Cole Sprouse playing Jughead. Jughead is the real focus here.

I actually disagree with all the people saying that CW ruined Archie and the characters. The comic book characters of Archie are too stereotypical to be included on a TV Show. Nobody would like Archie if he actually dated two girls at the same time. Nobody would like Veronica because in the comics, the only things she cares about are luxuries and Archie. Jughead can't just a silly food addict. Reggie can't be the evil mastermind trying to mess everything up. This is why the characters obviously had to change in Riverdale. Also, the humor in Archie could only seem funny in the comics, and not as live-action. As well as the humor being centered around the characters, which won't work in Riverdale since the characters' personalities are changed. Riverdale can't just be some cheesy comedy. I think a murder-mystery is a great idea. It may not fit into the original comics, but it's definitely interesting.

This looks so...Vampire Diaries-ish. You know, pretty faces, lust, drama, and just 10% actual exciting plot.

Ummm...I want to see Archie not another version of PLL. I mean seriously, there used to be creativity in teen shows. Gossip Girl was about the drama of rich, New York teens but they made it fun. The Secret Circle got cancelled too soon, VD had it's own thing going on, regardless of the Vampire generation. Why couldn't this be lighthearted and based in the 50s? When I think of Archie, the only drama I think of is the love square between Betty, Veronica, Archie, and Reggie. Not a murder. This is the Archie's Weird Mystery I didn't want this series to be. It makes me wish Netflix had picked up the series because they can do more original, lightheated than the CW can.

I started watching this series this morning thinking, "Wow, another murder mystery, I'm going to hate this" but I love it. It's so scandalous and savage and may I just say that Jughead is the cutest person ever. The outcasts are always so mysterious and that makes them so adorably hot and cute
I can't wait for the next episodes
