Looks like an interesting take on a seminal book, but one of the many horrors of this totalitarian government is the fact that there were no POC! Religious extremism wasn't the only horror in this dystopian future and there were no AfrAM Handmaidens.

Hm, on the one hand, inclusion and diversity in Hollywood are good.
On the other hand, one of the elements of The Handmaid's Tale was that they only used white women as breeders, because they only wanted white babies, and they forced all people of color into domestic service. Basically slavery. Of course, all women were slaves in Handmaid's Tale.
